Out-of-hours behaviour
When a caller rings outside your configured opening hours, RingDesk can handle the call in four different ways:
| Setting | What callers experience |
|---|---|
| AI agent (default) | The AI answers normally, 24/7 |
| Message | A pre-recorded message plays and the call ends |
| Voicemail | Caller hears a message then can leave a voicemail |
| Bypass | Call forwarded to your ring-through number |
Configuring it
Open your desk, go to Call handling and select the Opening hours tab. Find the Out-of-hours card, choose your preferred behaviour and customise the message if needed.
Opening hours
Out-of-hours behaviour is triggered based on the opening hours configured on the same Opening hours tab. Make sure your hours and timezone are set correctly.
Date overrides
You can set specific date overrides (e.g. bank holidays) on the Opening hours tab to mark a day as closed regardless of the regular schedule.
