## Chat on your website

Your AI agent can answer questions on your website too, using the same knowledge it uses on calls. Visitors chat in a small pop-up, and it captures their name and enquiry just like a call does.

Turn it on

  • Open the desk and go to Settings.
  • Find the Website chat card and toggle it on.

The public widget is the Web Chat add-on (£29/mo plus VAT) - add it from Billing -> Add-ons. You can always test the chat for free from Test -> Chat without the add-on.

Add it to your site

Once it's on, the card shows an embed code like:

<script src="https://app.ringdesk.co.uk/widget.js" data-desk="..."></script>

Copy it and paste it just before the closing </body> tag on your website. The chat bubble then appears in the bottom-right corner. It works on any site that lets you add a snippet of HTML - WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or a custom build.

What visitors see

A branded bubble with your business name, a friendly greeting, and "Powered by RingDesk". The agent answers from your FAQs, hours, prices and website content, and takes a message or callback when someone wants a follow-up.

Reading chats

Chat conversations appear in Conversations under the chat filter, so you can see what visitors asked. Chats are read-only for now.
